Lake District Adventure Photography Sessions
For couples who want more than the wedding day can hold.
Your wedding day is full. Full of people, full of emotion, full of moments happening faster than you can catch them. It’s wonderful — and it goes by in a blur.
An adventure session is something different entirely. It’s just the two of you, somewhere wild and beautiful in the Lake District, with no schedule to keep and nowhere else to be.
Whether you’re planning to elope, already married, or somewhere in between — this is your chance to slow down, breathe each other in, and end up with photographs that are entirely, unhurriedly yours.
Who Is This For?
If you’re eloping or planning something intimate You don’t need a big wedding to deserve beautiful photographs. An adventure session is perfect for couples who want to make their commitment feel real and meaningful in a place that takes your breath away, without the formality of a traditional wedding day.
If you’re already married The wedding day moves fast. A post-wedding session — on your mini-moon, honeymoon, anniversary or any time the feeling takes you — gives you the portraits you wished you’d had more time for. Wear your wedding outfit again, bring a second look, or just come as you are.
If you want both Some couples wear two outfits: a white dress and something that reflects another part of their story or culture. These sessions are perfect for that. We have time, we have space, and the Lakes make the most extraordinary backdrop for both.
What Does a Session Look Like?
We meet somewhere that feels good. It might be a fell you’ve always loved, a lakeshore at golden hour, a tarn hidden above the valley, or somewhere I think will suit you perfectly, I know these hills well and I love helping couples find their spot.
We wander. We chat. I photograph you as you actually are together: laughing, looking, holding on. There’s no performance. Just you, the landscape and that feeling of being completely present with each other.
We plan around the light and keep an eye on the weather, because up here the conditions make all the difference. Sometimes the mist is the magic. Sometimes it’s the golden hour that does it. Either way, I’ll make sure we’re in the right place at the right time.
Afterwards you’ll receive a full gallery of honest, joyful, beautiful images. The kind you’ll want to frame.
What to Bring
Whatever makes you feel like yourselves. Walking boots. A flask. Champagne if that’s more your style. Your dog. A second outfit. A picnic. There are no rules here: just good company and good light.
How Long Are Sessions?
Sessions are flexible. Some couples want a relaxed hour or two. Others want a full day wandering between locations, building a whole story across the fells. I’m happy to help you plan whatever feels right for you.
