New House Farm Wedding

Getting Married at new House Farm

New House Farm sits quietly at the edge of Crummock Water, backed by some of the most dramatic fell scenery in the Lake District, and if you’re planning your wedding here you’ve chosen somewhere genuinely extraordinary. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings at New House Farm across all seasons, and honestly it’s one of those venues that gives you something special whatever the time of year.

From the moment guests arrive, the setting does the work for you. The farmhouse itself is one of my favourite backdrops in the Lakes — the stone, the fells, the open sky above Crummock. It’s the kind of venue that looks effortless in photographs because everything around it is already beautiful.

Step outside and you’re in the landscape in seconds. The fells rising above Crummock Water are genuinely breathtaking for couple portraits — open water, dramatic skylines, the kind of light that only happens up here. I’ve photographed couples at New House Farm in bright summer sunshine, in soft autumn mist rolling off the fells, and in crisp winter light, and every season brings something different and equally beautiful.

Whether you’re planning a small, heartfelt ceremony or a relaxed celebration with the people who matter most, New House Farm offers a raw, romantic Lakeland setting that feels a world away from everywhere else.

My photography coverage for weddings and couple portraits at New House Farm starts from £800.

Vow Renewal Lake District

Couple portraits at New House Farm

The shores of Crummock Water are the obvious choice and rightly so, but there’s more to explore. The paddocks on site are truly lovely and there are some easily accessed fells for epic photos.

I like to work with a couple to timeline their day, using my local knowledge of seasonal timings to ensure parking and weather aren’t an issue on your day.

What a Wedding Day at New House Farm Feels Like

One of the things couples love most about New House Farm is how ‘Lake District’ it feels.

Old charm mixed with a bright and modern ceremony space. Surrounded by lush countryside and nestled close to one of England’s most beautiful lakes.

It’s particularly well suited to intimate to medium sized weddings, where friends and family can spill into the grounds and enjoy the tranquility.

Working at New House Farm

I know the venue and the nearby landscape well so from the best spots for group shots on site to the closest lake shore and fells for those epic couple shots! Find out more about New House Farm here.

Why Work With Me

I’m based in Windermere and photograph weddings across the Lake District with a calm, natural approach.

Many of the couples I work with:

  • value atmosphere over formality

  • want their wedding to feel unforced

  • don’t want to spend the day posing or being directed

If you’re planning a wedding at Lakeside Hotel or another Windermere wedding venue and would like to talk through Lake District Wedding photography ideas, timelines, or coverage options, I’d love to hear from you.
