This fabulous couple chose a beautiful registry wedding in historic Bath with their family before travelling north to the Lake District for their honeymoon.
Away from schedules and expectations, they decided to step back into their wedding outfits for a relaxed post-wedding photoshoot together, just the two of them.
It was the perfect way to mark the beginning of married life and I was so grateful they chose me to capture this chapter.
Staying at Gilpin Lake House near Windermere, their mini-moon was all about relaxing on a luxury UK mini-moon and soaking up the views!
I was grateful for the lovely couple for inviting me to spend a morning with them to capture this moment and the weather was crisp and calm on this early winter day.
We wandered the beautiful grounds of The Gilpin, taking unhurried photographs within the lush landscape that felt natural and unposed. There was no pressure, no timeline, and no guests waiting: just space to be present and enjoy the moment.
Post-wedding sessions like this are becoming increasingly popular as they allow couples to enjoy a moment together without the intensity of the day itself. It’s less about performance and more about how it feels to be together, newly married.
After our time taking photographs, the couple headed straight to the spa, robes on and phones off. A perfect ending, and a reminder that wedding celebrations don’t have to be loud or busy to be meaningful.
